I finished the first part of the stitch-along, and I’m REALLY excited to announce that I wasn’t first! I already have two other stitchers – Thanks Emily and Siobhan. I have to admit that it took me most of today, so kudos to all of you stitching along. I think as my experimental first stitch-along I’m already learning a lot; I should probably make it a little less complicated or smaller. Anyway, it has been really fun, and I hope I get a few more entries.
I love that we are all following the same pattern, but that all 3 pieces look very different. That’s exactly what I was hoping would happen! I am using 9 (some blended) shades of blue on tan Aida. It took me a while to develop my palette for this project. I spent the morning stitching this spectrum (yes, I'm the designer, and, no, I didn't have my colors *exactly* picked out while I was designing this :-P).

Here’s a pic of my project so far, and you can see the rest of them on Facebook
Since I’ve started this business I have been stitching like crazy, but I still feel like I can’t catch up with everything that I want to get done. I love designing, and I have several designs just waiting to get stitched, but it takes me a long time. I’m going to have to come up with a faster way to get samples stitched. Anyone want to stitch for me?! Here’s how my little teapot design is coming along:
Happy stitching everyone! It’s never too late to join the First Stitch Along, and stay posted for the second part. I’ll put it up this Friday! Any guesses as to what it’s going to be when it’s finished?
